About the Project

The Bruce Lee Mural Project features two remarkable murals,"The Journey Begins Here" and "One with Water," created by artist Louie Gong (Nooksack) to celebrate Bruce Lee's legacy in Seattle Chinatown International District. These murals, located at the New Central Building and the Rex Apartments in Seattle's Chinatown International District, were unveiled on November 27th, 2024 to coincide with Bruce Lee’s birthday. The goal of the murals is to enrich the neighborhood by fostering beauty, contemplation, and celebration of Bruce Lee’s impactful legacy. Major stakeholders and funders include the Wing Luke Museum, the Bruce Lee Foundation, Hope Corps: the Downtown Seattle Mural Project, and the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture.
